Frankie Grande was born in New York City to Victor Marchione and Joan Grande, and grew up in Englewood, New Jersey, before moving to Boca Raton, Florida at age 10. He attended Pine Crest School and graduated from Muhlenberg College in 2005 with a triple major in biology, theatre and dance. He began performing in musicals in fifth grade. His maternal half-sister is Ariana Grande. He considered medical school but took a year off to pursue theatre.
